For those who use a meat grinder...

I use the Tasin meat grinder after hearing great reviews... So far, I've had all kinds of poultry bones through it, as well as rabbit, ish and smallish lamb/pork bones. It's amazing - I needed to use the reverse button once with the lamb bone - other than that, its never jammed. I found it...

You know your dog is spoiled when....

:rofl1: Obviously nobody spoils theis dog(s) enough:D ....when you don't sleep through the night because your dog needs to be tucked in...............repeatedly:p

    excersise?

Dodger gets 2-4hrs everday plus "mini" walks that are basically elimination breaks or around the block (15-30 minutes). He is misrable on anything less.

Any experience with K9 Show Stopper?

I've been using it on and off for a couple of months (a friend of mine bought it without reading the ingredients and her allergy dog didn't do so well with it)... I personally am not a fan. While I admit that I don't use it everyday or give Dodger the full 2 scoops it suggests, it has not...

Contest # 2: The Great Hotdog Retrieve

Do we lose points if the hotdog has teeth marks in it:D??? Dodger chomped down a little too hard on the first hot dog and broke it in half...but he redeemed himself by bringing me both halves:rofl1:

    College and dogs?

Neither did I - I had zero interest in most of what was expected of me as a UNI student. Dodger wasn't a planned puppy - he was found in the woods, abandoned at 4 weeks of age with 2 other puppies. He fell into my life 4 days before my first course at University started. It was hectic at...

So, what breeds are on YOUR future list?

Grand Anglo-Francais Tricolore FoxhoundS Canadian Eskimo Dog Portuguese Podengo (medio or grande) Realistically though, I will likely have rescued Foxhound/CED's or husky type dogs.

    Best Way to Teach Heel?

Excellent post - I originally only wanted to emphasize heeling as a position but couldn't bring myself to remove the rest because it is all well said!:D IMO, for a service dog you need a dog that knows heel as a position rather than having a competitive type heel... While "eyes glued to your...

    This weeks train off trick

:DThanks MP! Too bad, I love watching dog-handlers learn but after reading the other thread, I get that this is more like an end result competition! I can't think of any door/cupboard/closet that Dodger can't already close so I will have to wait for the next trick! Good luck everyone!

    Cider's Wall and Weaving Vids

The wall just keeps getting more and more dense with RIBBONS!! Congrats! But I think an even bigger YEEHAW goes to the weaves! She looks so confident... I also think the teeter was pretty impressive too!!! I can't wait to see more videos - keep them coming!:D

    This weeks train off trick

No fair, Dodger already does this! I can't wait to watch the progress though:popcorn: Sorry if I missed a previous thread on this - is the idea that people post shaping vids until they get the final behaviour??

How do you exercise your dog?

Dodger gets about 2hrs in the morning and 2hrs in the evening, usually hiking in the woods but sometimes walking around town/parks. We bike at least 3 times a week and swim whenever I can drive up to the lake. We also do agility and some lure pole when we can fit it in. Dodger requires a lot of...
