WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY. That's really all I have to say. It's pretty lame to throw all people receiving assistance into one big pot. Are there people who abuse it? Sure. But the majority doesn't. Is the system perfect the way it is? No. I wish there was more to be done to actually HELP people get back on their feet instead of keeping them in place. I also wish the focus was more on rehabilitation with prisoners than locking them up longterm.

I am saying that I wish bad things on you, I do not, but it shouldn't surprise you that there's a lack of compassion for you when all you care about is ME ME ME.
How to you know I have no compassion? Based on what I say here? It Would Work If they Would Have A Limit On How long someone could be on welfare and have programs to help them better themselves.

I am quick to help someone out, I have even fed and ponied horses for free for people who I knew didn't have the money to pay me right then, but I have also been burned my fair share of times by folks to take advantage of my giving nature, so forgive me if I am a bit cynical.

So I hate being the person bitching about work but my new coworker is driving me nuts. I've NEVER really had an issue with a coworker so this is new. I can deal with a lot of people and personalities and even if I don't like them per say we get along professionally and work ok together. I'm really easy going.

She's been here... a week. She has experience in the job (more than me and my other coworker who have been here 3 and 6+ years respectively- in this group and company) and made sure to let me know she's the senior one around here now. She made sure to show me her job title was higher than mine. Okay whatever. Good for you. She does not know our software or our methods of doing things here. She wants to redo the way we do things. All the things. She is constantly saying 'well at my old company we did this' or 'that doesn't seem the most efficient' or 'I know a better way'. She jumps on every request- despite not knowing the software yet. Like the second someone asks she barges in and does it. Even if they are asking ME to do it for them. She's come up with all these new conventions she wants us all to follow. She wants me to show her how to do things but if I don't show up the second she asks, then she's 'too busy'. So I should drop everything to show you but you can't do things when I get a chance?

You can't just barge in even with seniority and try to change everything! She wants to be going 24/7 and wants things done at the second they're asked for. We're not that kind of group... we're really relaxed and always have been. When things are breakneck speed we all handle it fine. But things aren't always breakneck speed and nor do we want them to be.

My other coworker comes back next week thank god. I hope she chills out.
Yeah no... it's just getting worse. Now she's emailing me about my conversations with my coworkers. Telling me how to 'improve things'.

I'm going nuts.

So we just got home from our trip to Canada last night. Beezer was throwing up yesterday. he didn't throw up after we got home but he was very mopey and out of sorts. He slept on the floor next to Brian's side of the bed the entire night.

well did we ever get a scare this morning. Brian woke up to get ready for work and leaned over the bed and pet Beezer... no reaction. he called his name THREE times and NOTHING and Brian was like "Oh God". I FLEW out of the bed and was like "OH MY GOD BEEZER WAKE UP". We thought he was dead. I guess he was just dead tired because when I went flying out of the bed he lifted his head finally and looked at us like we were nuts :rofl1: Apparently he was exhausted. He must not have relaxed much while we were away. But now he's back to his little full of **** and vinegar self

but I definitely didn't need that at 6 am

In the afternoons at my work it's pretty relaxed, we go back at three and have til 4:30 to get our work done, which consists of taking the poop out of our horses stalls, watering, haying, and raking our shed rows. The mornings are very rush rush rush get this horse to the walker be the this one, this one is coming back from the track etc ... but it makes the morning go faster.

Maybe I am just a high octane person, I also like things to happen NOW NOW and get frustrated when they can't and I have to wait for something, I like to go go go!

Please tell me I'm not the only person on earth that gets more irritable and impatient AFTER coffee.

And this is why I do not normally drink it. Why did I today? Cuz I suppose I felt like trying one last time because I was tired as hell. I really need to stop doing stupid things like that.

Why? Some people are just more "must do things NAO!" It doesn't mean they deserve to be punched in the face ... physically or metaphorically :/
Because everybody has their own workload and prioritizes accordingly. The last thing you need is someone overstepping boundaries all the time because they want this done now. Because they are on a powertrip. Working in a team doesn't work like that.

Had a plug-in for my car so I could listen to my iPod. Worked GREAT. Until my friend's dog broke it. Went to Target to buy a new one, they don't sell it anymore, kind of looks like it's just flat out discontinued or something. So I got a different brand. It's a piece of crap. I finally decided to just look on Amazon for the same kind that I used to have, found it and bought it. I went to use it for the first time today, super pumped that I could rock out to whatever music I wanted to, and IT DOESN'T WORK. And there's like a piece of plastic chipped off it and just grrr completely ruined my day.

I just want to listen to my iPod!! I really don't want to have to get an entirely new stereo for my car just because of this lol but I might have to!

Perhaps this is why I never did well in a team setting lol. I do my best work on my own anyway.

Geeze, first the horse passed away, then I had to let a horse go because it spooked and sat back when I was ponying it, than my mom calls me to say my aunt passed away suddenly. Ready for some good luck here! Still trying to remain positive.

You're right. Some posters on here deserve that so much more than her coworker. Sadly, I'm in Colorado and can only deliver the metaphorical punch...

I'm really not sure if I should apply at this Job anymore...

This seriously made me crack up.:rofl1:
WHOAH. We will be forced to take severe action at those who laugh at us. We are a very serious (and terrible!) clique.

I'm just gonna pull up a chair and join you.
Third chair over here.

We have also written about Lotta in this thread: Your dogs' quirks
So, we should figure out what else we could discuss about than dog training. My friend has tried to find threads where we could write. She hasn't found other threads yet where to write besides the one linked above.

One idea would be that you would ask us something and we would answer to those questions.
One reason my friend suggested it, is this: This is not only about forums. When my friend meets new people, it's sometimes hard to find topics of discussion. So, if you would ask something, maybe my friend would figure out better what to discuss about...:)

She has for example looked what kind of threads there are in this forum. However, she hasn't noticed anything interesting yet. It would be good, if they would be about topics my friend would know something about. She is still looking for them...;)

Chillax! Relax! Join in the fun

Eta - also if you ONLY want to talk about YOUR dog and YOUR issues, people get kinda bored. They like to know THEIR stuff is interesting too ;)

Eh, that's what dogs are for! They hear anybody and bark before it becomes an issue. :D (Come to think of it, though, Mom would walk around and mostly shut the windows on the first floor before we went to bed.)

When I was growing up, we didn't even lock our door. In the 19 years my parents have lived there, we've only had an issue once, and that was during broad daylight when my sister was home. Chloe scared the dudes away, good dog.

I get more freaked out living in town at night. Lol
