No problem. I just started on our cloth diaper journey really when Savannah was born so I remember how confusing it can be. Any questions just ask. I have about 3 different cloth diaper groups I'm apart of and my facebook is FULL of cloth diaper moms so I can always find a answer.

This is a sized cover in Velcro (you can get all of them in velcro closure but I only suggest it when you have newborn sized)


This is a tiny cover but it is not just for that size you can make it extra small and Savannah can still wear it. It is obviously snap


One Size Hybrid. In a snap. The bottom three rows of snaps are rise snaps they make it either 8 lbs all the way up to 30. This one fits Savannah AND Morgan


Orange is a cover, Purple is a pocket the other three I posted seperate as well. Everything is one size 8-10 lbs all the way up to 30+ lbs except the velcro and the girly with hearts

Here's a question...when did ya'll start to show?

Someone I know from tumblr just posted a picture claiming to be 9 weeks with a pretty decent sized baby bump. I'm wondering if 1) she's lying about being pregnant, 2) she's further along than 9 weeks and doesn't know it, or 3) she's normally carrying more weight in her belly...but it definitely looks like a formed baby bump.

I'm 9 weeks and my stomach is flat as can be. I'm 5'9", thin, with pretty strong core muscles and have barely been able to keep down food, so that's expected, but is it common to have any kind of bump by 9 weeks??

I cant remember anything that early except with Savannah but thats when it was 2 and kid #3/4.

Everyone develops differently. I wasn't clearly showing for a long time but i already had some pudge lol. It depends how she is carrying, her muscle structure, her height and weight can be big factors, lots of things affect the way and when you start showing

Idk I'm still skeptical about this photo...it looked like she was 20 weeks pregnant in it

Visibly pregnant? Well over halfway through both pregnancies but I measured super small the whole time with both boys.

Disposable diapers versus reusable diapers?

Can someone explain to me the pros and cons of both and HOW exactly reusable ones work?

Cloth you throw them in the washer and line dry the covers machine dry the inserts. You can use any of the systems above and there are a few more ways I just don't own them.

Pros to cloth- cheaper, no harsh chemicals, good for the planet "green", no having to go to the store and buy diapers, alot of babies are allergic to the chemicals in disposible, less rashes, CUTE, if its a girl no need for bloomers under dresses, and if its a boy in the summer toss a shirt on and Viola instantly dressed, kids transition to potty training easier, you can use them for all your kids without have to spend the money on diapers EVERY time.

cons- Laundry if thats a big deal to you, can be a pain when you have a yeast rash but you can always buy a pack of disposible if that happens. I have only dealt with one and its currently because Savannah was allergic to something, have to carry dirty diapers with you if you are out (you do get a zippered bag so you dont smell them LOL), cant use mainstream clothes sometimes since the diapers are bulkier, you have to clean the poop out of them but you can get liners for when they start solids where the clean up is greatly diminished but honestly I just drop most of it in the toilet.


Pros to disposibles- readily available anywhere, throw out after each use.

Cons- the pros to cloth LOL. You also cant easily remedy a over peeing issue and if your kid doesnt fit the ones you have you HAVE to buy more. Now that Savannahs bigger we dont have to buy her a new size unless we want to use a system that does other sizes (prefolds and covers)

Cost breakdown
Most disposables are around .25 cents a diaper
I paid around $5 per diaper for mine. and they will be used for about 2-3 years PER kid.

I could list dozens of bullet points on the benefits of cloth, but when you get down to brass tacks what usually jumps out and grabs people is realizing they can diaper their child from birth through potty training for less than $500, and then either sell those diapers (often for up to half of their original value) or save them for future children, and keep even more cash in their pocket.

I didn't start showing until 14ish weeks. And even then I really just looked chubby (that is chubbier than usual lol). It really seems to depend on how you carry your weight anyway - some people just look like they're prego even when they're not. Do you know what she looks like normally?

This was the same for me - I felt like I was showing but really I just looked chubbier (And I was because I was STARVING all the time in the first tri lol) and my butt and hips spread way out too, even before my stomach popped.

Is it her first kid? I think you show sooner if you've already had one or two.

She did have a stillborn baby less than a year ago, but she posted a picture "3-4 weeks pregnant" and doesn't look REMOTELY as big/pregnant and she does in this picture.

That photo also included her face, and this one is just of her torso...I'm pretty skeptical.

thats what stops me, the whole changing of your body ... im waaaay too vain for that LOL i have a hard enough time battling the 'pooch' as it is lol plus i am 30, getting too up there in baby making years (i have read the risk of birth defects rises once you pass 30) so to me its not worth it... plus i kust dont want kids LMBO

I know alot of people have expressed interest in cloth diaper. These groups are here to help low income families get cloth so they do not have to pay for disposibles. I have not used either or talked to either I just found them on my searches one day. Hope these can help someone!

MM, it depends on your body and also on the number of previous pregnancies.

When pregnant with Cole, it wasn't until about 12 weeks that I got a little "hump". At 16 weeks, I wore my size 4 low-rise jeans for the last time, but I did have a noticeable bump.

With Carson, I had a "hump" at 10 weeks.

With Cooper, I had a noticeable "hump " at 7 weeks. I looked like I was full-term at 5 1/2 months. At 37 weeks, when he was born, I looked like I had a double-sized basketball in my shirt, and I was so big that I had to literally support my belly with a hand (or 2...lol) when walking.

Of course, I'm only 5 ft tall, so my belly had nowhere to go but OUT. Lol

I believe it's over 35...

Haven't had a chance to sit down and catch up on this thread but I'm 12w4d and so many people have commented on my "bump".

Apparently it's not PC to correct them by unbuttoning your pants to show them your REAL bump and explain that what they're seeing is simply the result of bloat and several days worth of constipation.
