Really bad gas...

I have a 7 year old lab mix..My dog has very rarely had gas, but she is killing us of late...

We used to live in Texas but due to my OH job we moved to the UK, where we brought her with us, we couldnt bear leaving her... Wehn we collected her from the Airport they told us she had some blood in her poop but it was because she was stressed by the journey...We spent a few days feeding her little but often and in no time she had moved on...but I wont be putting her on a plane again...

I have had to change her food from what we had in Texas as they dont sell it over here, I have put her on Orjen....however she has had really bad gas since we came back, its been 12 weeks now, could it be the case that she was so stressed and she pooped so much that she had lost the good bugs in her stomach, would it help if I feed her yoghurt on her dinner?

It could be. The Orijen is a grain free variety, right? Yogurt may help, but a good probiotic added to her food will help more, faster In the meantime, activated charcoal tablets will help your nose some, and a simethicone gas capsule (like Phazyme) will help her.

One thing to be thankful for, though, as long as she is passing the gas you're not getting bloat.
