VERY nice

They arent the easiest to fold because they have the hooks and a bar to keep it closed in the middle too. VERY sturdy. I <3 mine WELL worth the money.

Check Amazon! I got my 36 for 50 bucks, and if you know a student or are a student you get free prime for a year.

OH and if you have hard floors it has rubber things on the outer corners in the bottom so it rolls if you push it!

I had one and didn't like it at all.

I have a Petmate Deluxe and Kennel Aire and would recommend either - however, they are on the pricey side, but good deals can be found if you look around.

Why didn't you like it, MisssAshby?
It was very flimsy. In fact the door is bent back some because of her jumping on it and she only weighs 8lbs. Now, she is a little snot of a dog (or was) so, she could have been pushing on it trying to escape...I never put ANYTHING past her.

i have three, and they've all been very nice, solid crates. one is luce's trial crate, so it gets pounded around a little bit, in and out of the car, in and out of trials. another is steve's overnight crate which sustains his daily morning temper tantrum without any trouble.

i got mine from petedge.

I have two, a 36" and a 42". We've had the first for two years, the second for three...plus have moved around the country and hauled them to dog shows, etc. They are holding up very well and have earned my vote.

FYI the iCrate is VERY different from my regular Midwest Lifestages crate I purchased a few years ago.

From all outward appearances they have the same features (we got a double door, black wire, suitcase style in both), but the gauge of wire in the iCrate is very light and the corners don't fit very well. The Midwest Lifestages crate is one of my favorite wire crates ever and I know someone whose dog survived a serious accident in one. Big difference!

I have the Icrate and the wire is VERY thick for a 36 inch. ALOT thicker then the one for my 48 that I got from Petco.

This is actually why I asked - I couldn't tell the difference between the two from either the pics or the descriptions.

I'm going to be using these as feeding crates for my cats, but I have a three-year-old granddaughter in the house and I need to know the crates are both sturdy enough to handle the occasional climb as well as smooth enough on the end pieces and corners to not hurt her.

With that in mind, do you think the iCrates are a good choice?

My iCrate is 30" and very light gauge, so I assume the 22s would be as well. If I were worried about a small child climbing or bumping into the feeding crates I'd lean toward using plastic instead of wire - I think the corners on almost any wire crate would be sharp enough to harm a child if fallen into and I would NOT trust a 22" iCrate to withstand climbing.

Do you close you cats in for eating? If not, what about a sturdy bookshelf system that has been secured to the wall - would look nicer and be safer imo.

Finn has a 26" iCrate for home use and a 36" iCrate for trial/event use, and I love both of them. His home one is used daily since he was 6 months and is barely showing signs of wear, and his event crate has put up well with beatings in and out of the car/etc, and folds/sets up quickly and easily. I have no issues with them and would recommend them.

Well, I just ordered six (not seven! does not knowing how many cats you have qualify one as a crazy cat lady?) Midwest Lifestages 22"L x 13"W x 16"H crates from Amazon.com for *gulp* nearly $250.

There were other vendors who cost less (including petstreetmall) but, for that kind of money, I had to go with one I could trust, you know?

Sheez, these cats better take to being crated during meal times or I'm agonna be one unhappy momma. *eye roll*

I have either a 42 or 48 inch iCrate. I got it for Gavroche, who sometimes isn't too nice to the doors when I leave. It was his for 4 or 5 months and you'd never know it. Now it's Logan's and it's still in absolutely perfect condition. I also lug it to shows with me. It was cheap, and it does its job. I think mine was under $100 on sale at Petsmart.
