Over the years our dogs have been on:

Nutro Natural Choice
Pedigree (the only thing our Dalmatian could eat for some reason and she thrived on it)
California Natural
Orijen
Canidae
Kirkland
Innova
Now!
Acana
Acana Provincials (grain-free version of Acana)

I think that's all of them... I might've missed a couple, but I can't think of any others that we've had. Currently Dance is eating Acana Provincials Grasslands, Keira is eating Acana Provincials Pacifica, and Ripley's eating California Natural Herring & Sweet Potato. The girls are doing better than ever on their foods, and hopefully Ripley does well on his. He's having a lot of food issues.

We have tried everything. And she is now on Pedigree everything else made her either throw-up or she was eating it yet losing weight. Weird dog

When I had Sierra on kibble (almost a 10 month period) I rotated pretty frequently. She had been used to the variety of raw and I just couldn't settle on one kibble and say she'd be fine.

I tried:
Timberwolf Lamb and Apple
Solid Gold Barking at the Moon
Innova EVO
Innova
Fromm Adult Gold
Orijen
Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal
(as you can tell, I tried to rotate between grain free and quality foods with some grain content).

Actually, the only food that didn't agree with her was the one I took a bit of a chance with anyways. (Wysong Maintenance) It has a significantly higher grain content than most foods I used, but thought I'd give it a shot since I really like the company as a whole and the supplements they make. Sierra was gassy and had fluffy poops. I didn't like.

All of the others went over well.

I've tried a lot of different dog food brands, with the fosters and all. With Maddie it went something like this (I don't remember exactly what or when I switched from the Eukanuba. She was very young, and I was just learning about the "truth" of dog foods)

Eukanuba -- Royal Canin -- Natural Balance -- Chicken Soup -- Canidae; did very well on before the ingredients change, then I had to switch again -- TOTW - Nature's Variety -- Innova EVO -- Raw -- Innova EVO/Raw ;)

And I can tell a different of her skin/coat on all of these foods. She did well on Canidae before the change, but think she does better on the EVO. Dry skin/coat with the NB. I liked it but found myself supplementing with oils and such(too much for my taste) I liked NV, but it made her have really bad dandruff. TOTW made her eyes goopy and gross (same for Mia, which is weird). I loved 100%, but had problems getting a variety, or everything I need for the pirce I needed it LOL so right now the EVO/raw is the best for us :D

Innova

Both dogs are on Innova now, Lucy never had TOTW and Juno never had Nutro. And that short list covers 12 years of dog ownership lol.

My dogs are being fed 90% home-cooked meals now. Nothing seemed to work for them. It was always either gas or diarrhea or just plain mopiness. They don't act like that anymore now that I make the good stuff for them.

We have tried Nutro Natural and are now on Chicken Soup - I didn't realize what a difference food can make until we made the switch to Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul.

Avoderm (that's what the shelter fed, gave her diarrhea)
Solid Gold (gave her diarrhea)
Innova (gave her diarrhea)
California Naturals (gave her diarrhea--see a pattern here!?)

Finally we've settled on TOTW Pacific Stream formula. She seems to do better on fish, and so long as we don't give her any chicken or beef of any type (no treats, kibble, or meat), then a spoonful of pumpkin keeps things good.

Starting with what the rescue sent Izzy home with

Pet Pantry (The Pet Pantry | Home | Free Home Delivery | Dog and Cat Food | Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest NC) (yellow poo)
Nutro puppy Ultra (Runny poo)
Avoderm (Yellow and runny poo)
Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's soul (Decent for her, still shed a lot and poo'ed often)
TOTW (Poo's once a day, shiny coat and a great energy level)

We're currently rotating TOTW flavors each bag to keep her interested and she's a great weight with a glossy coat so I think that's where she'll be unless we ever have the time, room, and money for Raw.
