Been a great but busy day! I've been around way too many awesome dogs, but I hardly think that's a reason to complain.

First the stockdog trial was awesome! I thought it was a couple miles from my house, I was wrong. I decided to drive there, got a few hundred feet from my apartment and I was there! It was at the horse center's arena which if you remember my apartment is right next to the horse center. I should've walked there lol. Unfortunately the lighting sucked majorly and I just don't have the lens for that kind of stuff yet. Hopefully the next trial will be outdoors so I get good pics. I saw Stella but didn't get to meet her. I had to go late because I had to setup responsible owner day then I had to leave early to work there. So I was there a few hours. I can say pretty confidently that my next dog will definitely be a working line border collie. They were awesome! I also saw two kelpies run which was interesting, I'd never seen a kelpie work before.

Responsible dog ownership day was a BLAST. I did meet the breed with papillons and got talked into entering Summer in the AKC match show. We won 1st place! Lol, I know it's not a big deal but still... it's her first AKC ribbon. Summer was SO good. There were dogs everywhere and she only was reactive to one really poorly behaved lab. She's come such a long ways and is doing much better around other dogs. She let them greet her and was just pretty much bombproof.

So onto the pics. I debated posting the SDT pics because they suck, but I figured people would still want to see them. Sorry they suck so much, it was REALLY dark in there.

More, this might take a while LOL

Laika spent the first 4 years of her life in a cage in a puppymill. She was rescued and covered in feces and urine, had never been out of her cage and had no idea what her name was. As you can see, a year and a half of love has really been what she needed.

The look-alike winners (so cute!)

Summer and Mia were hits. Summer was a favorite because as you can see, she's so shy /sarcasm/

Summer and her new boyfriend, Jack. They followed each other around and gave each other kisses all over. Jack's owner is a papillon breeder and she thought it was hilarious.

Drool cleanup

Rott mix rescue

I cannot remember this pup's name

There were 9 papillons there- unreal! They were the most popular breed of the day

Pyr that was up for adoption

Honestly this little 13 year old tzu was my favorite dog of the day. She was soooo sweet

Mia crashed on the way home:

And Summer with her 1st place ribbon!

Done- sorry there are so many!!!

I was really surprised all the yorkies but one were in full coat and they were all just pets. It looks great but I imagine it's a lot of grooming!

That Biewer was just stunningly pretty. I never expected them to be that gorgeous in real life. The lady who owned her was really nice. The dog is 10 months old and she's going to be growing out her coat too.

What is a biewer yorkie? I always find them on backpage for big bucks. Rare?

Wow, fantastic pictures! I love the demon dog and demon sheep! LOL! The collies are gorgeous and the Beiwer is adorable--I'm not really familiar with them, obviously it's time for some Googling. ;) Big congrats to Summer on her first place ribbon! :D

A Beaver?
Kidding. . . sort of, lol.

I wish people would start agreeing on calling them one thing. B-you-er, bee-vair, beaver, biva (a diva beaver??) bee-vaa (fancy way of saying beaver??). The video on this page cracks me up:
Pronounce
and a bit of info on them:

Thanks everyone!

I was really proud of Summer- just for the way she handled everything. She did great and was a big hit at the meet the breed booth. We had all the papillons there for a while so they drew a lot of attention. :D

Summer sure looks like a sweetheart....
Or attention *****, lol! I had to pry her out of so many people's laps. She has such a way with people.

I'm not too up on Biewers, just that they're a piebald yorkie.

Thanks for that! My friend and I were trying to figure out what they were called. I knew how to spell it but I wasn't going to be stupid and ask if it was a Beaver lol. The lady pronounced it like 'Bee-vair'. I would've butchered it, lol.

the funniest thing was when were were trying to figure out how to say Biewer these two gay guys came up to us and started lecturing us about designer dogs and how it was really just a mutt. I thought it was really random but they were very passionate about it. (All I had said was the biewer was cute!)
