Here are Mandy's puppies at 10 days old!

Mandy is a blk/tan dapple longhair mini dachshund - 10.2 pounds



Dad is O'Malley - choc/cream longhair mini dachshund - 9.5 pounds








Ally - Blk/cream longhair female - staying here (future show prospect!)





Daphne - Blk/tan dapple longhair female





Duke - Blk/cream longhair male







It's kind of hard to tell with the camera, but there's a distinct difference between Daphne's points (tan) and Ally and Duke's cream points.

This is what Daphne will look like (this is Mandy - Mom - at 6 weeks, she was born and raised here)



And this is a previous blk/cream puppy, Charlotte. This is a good example of the cream points that Ally and Duke have:

AWWWWWWWW, I just wanna squeeze um, and hold um, and love um....I love the colors of Mandy, unusual, at least to me.

haha, yes, people ask me (in a Texas country accent), "Is that wun part huntin dog?" (ie: blue heeler) I'm like, "Um, no..."

You can tell them, "no, it's ALL huntin' dawg!"

LOL, I understand that Texas accent, though now when I come home, (yes, TX native here) they tease me about my southern accent. LOL. I do love dachshunds though, my first memories of a dog are my grandmother's dachs. Sissy was the momma. We got one of her pups, his name was "long John" how original is that? LOL.

i have a question tho, how do you determine show prospects at this age?

I love all ur doxies, but o'malley is such a stunner. i think hes soo handsome!

Well, I can't really tell at this age. I'm just hoping and assuming, based on the parents

Daphne and Duke are available, by the way!

I had a waiting list of about 35 people long. Of course, it's very easy to be asked to be put on a waiting list, but much more difficult to make the commitment to get the puppy

People always ask if Jasmine's a Dalmatian. I always want to tell them that spots do not always equal Dalmatian... And did I ever tell you about the lady who insisted to Brandon that Domino was a Jack Russell? :rofl1:

Daddy O'Malley is GORGEOUS! I could look at him all day. And what beautiful pups! The dapple is really lovely on dachs.

That pup is so perty, I'll be it'll make a great show dog! At least, in a perfect world where dogs are judged on "adorability"

ahhh! do you ever just wanna pick them up and squeeze em?!?! lol

It was in the early days of having Domino and she got out (I was at work so it was just Brandon left to hunt her down). When he caught up to her he just hiked her up on his shoulder and carried her because he didn't have a leash with him. This lady who was driving by just stopped in the street and asked if Domino had jumped the fence. Brandon told her she didn't (Dom's never been a jump or go around kinda pup... more of a go through things kinda gal) but the lady just went on about how she had a JRT that used to jump fences. When Brandon tried to tell her that Dom was (obviously) not a JRT the lady just went on like "yeah she's a Jack Russell alright, they love to jump".

So she's our little 50lb JRT.

Ah Man! They are CUTE!

And update! Mandy's puppies are now 3.5 weeks old and are starting to get the hang of walking.

Ally, of course, is staying here to be evaluated for show. Duke is sold and is going to a show home! Daphne is still available but I have a family coming to visit within the next week or so.
