Hey look they found the shift key!!! This thread was not in vain :D

Though it would have been more effective with an exclamation mark at then end.

(oh and its not just the us that has kindergarten and grades.. we do to.. so the OP would have had grades etc)
Dek, it could have been caps lock. :( Not to rain on your parade (perhaps **** on your hydrant is better) but your efforts may have been in vain. Perhaps we should post a poll - caps lock or shift?

(And I thought you guys had levels. Maybe I'm mixing Canada up with another country.)

That's odd, considering you use them proficiently. How could you possibly have learned to type or write without knowing what a period is? How about commas, semicolons, and dashes? "First Grade" is the first year of schooling in the United States, right after "Kindergarten."
Why is it odd? To me a period is as I said a female cycle, it was quite easy to learn how to type without knowing what that was, although I have to say I did already know about them. Thank you for explaining first grade though.

Right there.

You said it. The OP lives in Ontario, so maybe you shouldn't make assumptions about the lack of education.
Maybe you should read what was written? I in no way made the comment about anywhere in particular, many countries have inner cities, outlying areas etc etc where education is not readily available or taken up. Also some people do have learning difficulties.

The OP perhaps has shown themselves to be nothing more than a troll but I do not apologise for asking people to have a little thought. This place used to be very friendly but it seems to have turned into a little closed shop, which is a shame for any newbies or old timers who came back.

Errrr..... I thought you didn't know what a period was? And I didn't just mean typing, I mean basic sentence structure..... when you were taught that in school did they not explain the names of the symbols to you while explaining what they were used for?

No, we just don't like trolls. Period. ;)

I meant I already knew what a female monthly cycle was :rofl1: didn't help me type at all just meant I wanted to throw the typewriter out the window every so often.

Fair enough, you don't like trolls but does it have to be ganging up on someone - wouldn't it be better to just ignore the likes of them and me if you feel I am one too.

You realize you're making no sense and talking in circles, right?
What would you like me to clarify? I have no wish to take this any further, I realise that as a newbie I may not be 'in' the 'in' crowd but I don't understand why you feel I am talking in circles.

Notice that everyone always resorts to that. Claiming that they are disagreed with simply because they are not in the "in" crowd. You think I am?

You're talking in circles because you said you didn't know what a period was. She asked if you were not taught the names and uses of punctuation in school. From what I can see, you have yet to clearly answer that question.
