| Barb might be up for that. It's not too far from her. Four hours from me, though

| I'm hoping I can go....Just wanted to put that out there for other Chazzers that might be in the area. Hoping that more and more of these kind of events will happen. I may have a recital to be at but I'm hoping I can atleast make it out for the afternoon.....I love those dog days events |

I'm going most likely. But just to observe, not participate. 4 Rottweilers with a bunch of average pet owners.....nahhhh, lol.

| If the weather's nice, I'll take a drive over. Mine don't go off leash anywhere and have to be introduced to others so I'd be going alone too. |

| I can never take Zack to these things. He is good with other dogs once he has had a chance to get to know them. Not good just let offleash on meeting a dog on leash.......it takes time and a few meetings before he will trust other dogs. (It had something to do with him being attacked at the dog park as a puppy) Sasha though can go and meet other dogs and people and be fine. I wouldn't let her off leash though (we don't go to the dog park usually) because she is so submissive. She would let another dog kill her before she would fight back. So its good that she is submissive and a pleaser but its bad in a dog situation with dogs we don't know. So always leashed encounters with dogs we don't know. She plays well with her dog friends....but once at the dog park this little wire haired terrier (the dog as smaller than Zack and a lot smaller than Sasha) put her on her back and started bearing its teeth at her, and I don't believe in kicking dogs but I would have kicked that dog off her in a heartbeat had that lasted another second. My husband grabbed her up before any real harm could be done...but the little dog went for her neck as she was laying there in submission (thats why my husband grabbed her up) so we don't take that risk anymore. |
