I'm opeing a dog wash/grooming & I'd like to ask some questions

Hi -

My wife and I are opening a dog wash/grooming store and I would like to ask some questions:

1) what are the pros and cons of using a vertical tub (width against the wall and can walk around 3 sides of the tub) versus a horizontal tub (length is against the wall and have to turn dog around in tub) ? Which do customers prefer when they have to wash their own dogs ?

2) what/where is the best way to find reliable groomers ? My wife and I don't want to be groomers - but - we want to make sure that the groomers we have in our store and reliable and very good at grooming ?

I would guess that a customer would prefer the kind that they can walk around because that is easier that manipulating the dog.
As for finding a good groomer you need to ask people that have dogs with nice 'do's. You might ask the nearest vet about groomers. You could also go to different salons and just get a feel for the groomer by talking to them.
