SOOOOOO.....

We have a HUGE dog show in Des Moines Labor Day weekend, Sept 4 - 7th. We're talking 15 breed specialties, over 2200 dogs, Confo, Rally, and Obed.

We've got two dogs parks to choose from, nice restaurants, and some really, really nice parks with nice trails. The weather should be nice, not too hot or humid.

Anybody want to come??

A bonus: That MAY be the week that a certain puppy joins my household

Kaylee will be at the Des Moines show... not sure if we're going to the specialty or not, since the judges aren't out yet and the calendar is red for that Friday already.

Nope - around here, Agility trials are held separately from everything else.

*However*, there is a Shetland Sheepdog specialty on Friday that includes rally and obedience...

If you've never been, I'd highly recommend this show. The venue is great, the vendors are great, and the building is huge and well lit. It's a blast - and the specialties are usually well run.

If it was 12 hours! away from me I'd go! However... if someone is willing to allow me to bum a ride I'll so be there. I can drive to Kentucky or the lower part of Illinois perhaps. I just can't drive for a whole day though.

My map says its almost 1000 miles. My car could make that on 3 or 4 tanks of gas and here, that would be about 80 dollars. I dunno what gas is like the further up you go.

I would seriously like to go to this though, so if anyone would like to pitch in for gas in exchange for a ride, let me know. We'd have to change off driving, so knowledge of how to drive a stick is a definite must. (I can teach you on the fly, but I'd REALLY prefer not to.)

Anyone? (Zoomers? RedHot?)

I'm no longer a part of the Midwest.

Aww, but we still like you, Zoom. The Midwest will always be happy to have you. <3

I can't make it - there's an agility meet in Springfield Labor Day weekend and I could have skipped it if it meant agility up there... but tryin' to get those Qs while we're still defrosted is my priority since we have winters here in the Midwest, LOL. I'm so jealous of people who live in temperate climates and can do agility all year round...
