Default NY Meetup?

I know there are a few people in the NYC/Long Island area...

So I was wondering what you guys think of having a meet up over the summer... like maybe at the beach?

Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?

Maybe we can wave to each other from the other side of the Raritan bay. The other day a friend was taking the train into the city and I was asked if I wanted to go along. After looking into what it would take to bring Lola on the train I decided I was not going. It was not for the fact of having to put her in the travel crate it was the fact of having to carry the crate all day even if she was out of the travel crate. even on the NYC subway the dog has to be crated. Then what do you do with the crate when you get to say Central park or something.

The above is quoted from New Jersey Transit - Home

I have also read on the MTA's website that you need to carry the travel crate on your lap. So if you have a really big dog
