Ok...I know bigdog has a thread already on dogs jumping up, but I am looking for more techniques.
Toto, my friends lab mix, jumps up on people when excited. I need techniques on how to teach him not to jump up. I taught Lucas to not jump up by having him sit before he got attention and for him that worked. I could tell when he was going to jump very easily and I would tell him to sit before he did it. I would do the same thing with Toto but he doesn't know/follow obedience commands as well Lucas did (working on that). So I need a different technique for him.
