I am 5" 8.5" and I weigh 175. I would like to lose twenty pounds. However, I have never stuck to a diet. Fortunately I have good luck with lots of exersize, so my plan is to restart exersizing now that my back is fixed and once I get over this plague or flu.

Apparently it's only $1 to join Weight Watchers right now... I'm seriously considering it, seeing as all my friends are members.

I'm all for keeping track here on the forum... are we posting start weights/measurements or anything? Or keeping that optional?

The first thing I wanted to bring up was rewards for losing weight. I lost a ton of weight last time and unfortunatly got sidetracked and gained it all back.

One thing that helped me a lot with my weight loss challenge was to give myself awards for reaching different weight loss goals.

For instance. I really wanted to get my hair cut, styled and re-dyed a different color. I really wanted to get a certain perfume spray that was AMAZING. Instead of just going out and buying the things I wanted I wrote down what goal I would need to reach in my weight loss to receive that prize.

lose first 5 pounds- get that pedicure you've been dying for
After 10 pounds is lost- Get your hair styled that crazy style you've always wanted
After 15 pounds lost- You know those earrings you can't stop looking at everytime you see them in the store? You've earned them girl.
After 20 pounds lost- Hunny it's time to sport that yellow polka dotted bikini you had hanging up. You've reached your goal weight now... time to celebrate. You've also earned yourself a $200 shopping spree to buy some cute new clothes.

Everyone is going to have different weight loss goals... that's just an example.

and for the record... I don't think I'd ever wear a yellow polka dot bikini... lol.... but a bikini would be nice.

We can definitely keep it optional since some people are less comfortable sharing their weight information than others. Feel free to share anything you want to share though.

I'm anxious to take my measurements and weigh myself in now.

Well here goes:

5' 7 (and a half)" 155 lbs

My goal "weight" is around 135, but I really have an ideal "shape" that I'm going for than a weight. So I'll be happy if I'm around the same weight, but have lost all the fluff in my thighs/butt/belly and am more toned. I know I'm pretty muscular right now, and that weighs a lot, it's the fat OVER the muscle I want rid of! (For example, I have great abs, I can FEEL them, I just can't SEE them right now! lol)
