"FAUX" fake fur really DOG fur!

You think you can, but thats the point. I have seen many reports of this as well. Turns out the hair was dog, squirrel, raccoon etc. Even though it feels fake and says faux, does not mean its fake.

think about it, how many times have you seen/pet a bunny, if something was rabbit fur youd notice by the feel...now how many times have you pet a raccoon?! or a raccoon dog or a badger, or squirrell ect. not all fur feels the same, the raccoon dogs fur feels kind of corse as compared to the usual furs they use and has an almost "fake" feel about it unless your familiar. its the same for many furs, you could have actual racoon fur on a coat and most people would think it was fake due to the rougher texture than typially used in coats ect...
so no, sometimes its not as simple as people teling the difference between real and fake.

ive felt faux furst that feel real and real furs that feel faux...its not as easy and when there not labeled right like in this case...

I understand that fake fur can be hard to spot by feeling, but just spead the fur apart, kinda hard to miss the stitching on the fake stuff, and easy to notice the leather on the real stuff.

Do you have leather? Fur and leather are basically the same thing. Your geninue leather purse has the hair removed.

As a kid, my family had a mink farm. They are horrid little animals. They were raised for their fur.

Not much different than raising chickens, cows , even fish. I do think they should be properly labeled so consumers know what they are paying for.

I dont agree that fur farms are the same as raising any other animal, at all.
Even cattle farmers who slaughter tend to use as much as they can. If they're smart, anyhow.

There is no reason to kill something just so you can say "this is genuine fur/leather", EVER. I have faux fur that is made thin to feel finer, and it is very soft (not very warm though, obviously). I don't buy faux fur anymore, and I will never buy real fur.
It is wrong IMO.


ETA: I have a breed that was often used for it's fur...That's all the fur I need. See my siggy? Who needs a mink coat?!
