Does anyone own a POM Shi? pom/shiba inu mix

It just sounds like an odd cross to me. Yeah, I would stay away from them too. Anyone that crosses breeds is not looking to BETTER either breed.

Wow, the sarcasm is killing me.

Surprisingly he's fine around all sorts of noise, he's just suspicious of new people in the sense that he'll hide from them

I do NOT suggest anybody breed these two breeds together. I learned the hard way that the Pomeranian and Shiba Inu definitely are not good for each other. Both breeds are suspicious for one, which probably added to his suspicious nature.
I actually wasn't looking for a small dog, but it was the only puppy the entire family agreed on.

Personally, I HATE designer breed names because these mutts aren't "breeds". The only reason I called him a "Pom-Shi" in my previous post was because that's what the subject of this topic was. I personally would rather call him a Shiba/Pomeranian MIX. I only heard of the "name" for this mix a couple days ago.

Another reason I chose him was because I wanted a mixed breed anyway, unless it was pure Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Due to the fact that purebreds tend to carry more health issues... As far as I've heard.

I wanted to actually adopt another dog from a shelter (we adopted Pete, out Rottie/Lab that had been there for 3 months and as I said, was on the euthanasia list about 3 years ago) but after looking at the shelter dozens of times (and finding MANY dogs I loved, but the family didn't) I was informed that my family didn't want another shelter dog because Pete was too lazy and not playful...

Yeah, I chewed them out, but in the long run we got a PUPPY from sketchy people. Yeah I admit it, and I'm not proud of it. :/ I worry about him having future behavioral issues...
Although the people did ask to stay in contact with me.
He had his first shot and worming.

But at least I didn't adopt from one of the locals...The ones that ABUSE their dogs and say that if they did the slightest thing 'wrong' they wouldn't hesitate to have them 'put down'. In other words, inhumanely kill them, in most cases with a gun.
They act as though the dogs know EXACTLY what's going on. Someone just told me that they had to keep their husband from killing their dog the other night because she "wouldn't listen".
I'm pretty sure the people I adopted from were better then my other options... >___>
