There are so many ways of training.... a lot positive. The bad or negtative ones came from "old school" training....wether it was Benji, Lassie, over all obedience... Take a look a history.... people treated blacks like animals....so animal "trainers" had no clue.

BUT WE DO KNOW....I still have some reservations on sone animal breeders and animal trainers....they don't last long...WE NEED TO BRING THEM OUT

is doggy daycare, the kind where dogs get to play w/ other dogs, in a large pen, and some other workers there, really truly beneficial in helping a shy, nervous dog?

Default Be A Dog Whisperer

Hi Guys. When i first got my pup (Shep) a few weeks ago I went a little crazy with the Pet Training Books (Guess I thought I'd become the next "Dog Whisperer" or something). But guess what? Most of those books were only useful in helping to pick up those little messes my little guy left around the house! So I started searching forums like these for weeks picking up little tips and tricks (much thanks to all u guys who had good info)

Anyways, I finally stumbled on this site that by far has the best info I've seen anywhere else. Answers ALL your dog training issues. So take a look..

Wow! Thanks for the resources!! Alot of that stuff I was already doing, but alot of it will help me to fine tune it. Of course, the hardest person to train is MY SPOUSE so hopefully these article will help.......

Nice forum and nice links.... I had a lot of problems with one of my dogs and I had no idea how to deal with it. My dog would bark constantly, break everything that she would get her mouth around, steal food from the table, run after cars. She even tried to bite the neighbor's kid. I was so frustrated with all her annoying behaviors that were driving me crazy. I got sick and tired of not being able to control her. I couldn't stand the idea that I was going to spend years to come with this mad dog.
