Default Millie the BC mix--and other dogs

This is Millie, I handled her at this week's adoption event. She is THE SWEETEST and GENTLEST dog I have ever met. She had a litter in rescue and they have all been adopted, which unfortuantey met she got booted out of the foster home she had while she was raising the pups. Her former foster mom dropped by and Millie was crying for 15 minutes after she left. She's only about 2, has the best manners. She REALLY needed a bath, though. She had some interest, but unfortunately, no one followed through.

These pics are terrible because I had my P+S with me.

With another dog. She was soo dog tolerant. I am used to having DA dogs, so I'm always on edge, but she had dogs jumping on her, growling at her, anything, and she'd just stroll away.

Mangey puppy. ):

Her twin of the day, Abby, also for adoption.

That's all. I hope she gets a great home.

She is a really pretty girl, I like her A LOT

Is that the "Black dogs are hard to adopt out" at work? Because with your description she sounds like an ideal dog for a lot of people.

I hope she finds a home

It may be that. I know that two of the people that were interested in her had cats, and ex foster said absolutely not. I had a couple looking at her, but they said they wanted to build a fence at their home first, so they weren't seriously looking for a dog. She's AMAZING with children, I actually think she should go to a home with them. I just don't think she could compete with the happier dogs showing more personality. If people had seen her with her foster mom, they would have seen another side of her. I'm pretty sure she should be placed within a few weeks.
