Morgan is TWO!!

It's Morgan's birthday! I can hardly believe he's two years old now. It seems like yesterday we brought home that fluffy, short-legged puppy from the local Humane Society... It just goes by so fast!

I'm just going to go straight to the photos, because I know that what you all are waiting for.

It's mah birfday!

I could not resist. After seeing Auggie in his birthday hat, I had to find one for Morgan, too. The options were Elmo, Spongebob, and Dora the Explorer. I have a strong dislike for Spongebob, and Dora was too girly... so Elmo we got!

Gettin' kinda tired of the hat now, Mom...

Then, we started baking his birthday pup-cakes!

Even the cats helped! Well... sort of...

I think he likes it. <3

I tried to draw a heart on his nose with the frosting, but as you can see... that didn't quite turn out...

He's trying to eat leftover frosting out of the makeshift piping bag.

The finished pup-cakes! Last year they were all kitties, since that was what was pictured in the recipe book. This year, I decided I would decorate them with all his favorite things... so I made a kitty, a bone, a tennis ball, a duck... and two more kitties. LOL!

PRESENT! It's a platypus!!

This toy is awesome. The squeakers are all in plush eggs, and the eggs fit in an elastic pocket in the platypus. So he can pull out the eggs or play with the whole thing.

We played catch with the eggs first.

(It's hard to take good photos while throwing platypus eggs.)

Then I put the eggs back in the platypus. He liked that, too, and spent a good amount of time running around with it.

I was bad mommy and put the hat on him again. You can tell he was thrilled.

Oooooo! Pup-cake!
(This isn't one of the pup-cakes I made, actually. It was a free gift from my friend at the dog bakery, the one who is selling Morgan Collars in her store now.)

Attempting to get a nice picture of Morgan with his pup-cake present that I could send to my dog bakery friend... this was the best we got.

Finally! I gets to eat pup-cake!

Pup-cake all gone. Must lick the floor in case the flavors soaked through.

These last two were taken just now. Morgan has been sitting in that corner just gazing longingly at the homemade pup-cakes on the counter. LOL!

You know, he has the most amazing, rich looking coat I've ever seen. It's just so neat to look at.

He's a really handsome boy overall but his fur is just magnificent.
