Default What breed is ...?

Hello, I've found a lonely, little dog. I would like to know, what breed is it. Could you help me? Unfortunately my camera is broken, so I can't post any pictures. I'll try to describe my Flufy, but I'm not an expert, it will be my first dog, and I don't know what is important. It's rather small - 12 inches of height. It has wire-haired black coat and small tail. Hair is longer and rougher on neck. Flufy is very active and fearless. What breed may it be? Mayby you need more info, ask a question I'll try to answer on them.

That could match so many breeds/mixes ... we really need pics!

Some people are like a Slinky. Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

My first guess would be a mini schnauzer:

Does it look like this, except scruffy and black?

Jacks don't come in solid black.

Patterdale: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/html/s...patterdale.jpg

Mini Schnauzer- http://www.petsplace.co.za/mini%20sc...d,%20black.jpg

and Cairn: http://www.petplanet.co.uk/petplanet...airnterr13.jpg

came to mind. But it really could be anything from the description including a good old terrier cross of some sort.

You found it? Have you tried to find the owners? If not, that is theft.

If you found it please rememebr it may be a lost dog and there may be people looking for it. Notify the pound, hand it over if necesary and if you want to keep it put your name down incase no-one comes forward.
