| So, recently Nomi has decided it's okay to go out at 7am and bark. She doesn't go out and just bark to bark but when the neighbor lets their dogs out and they start barking she starts barking back and them. Even once they are quiet (or not even outside) she will go up/down that side of the fence and sniff with a few more barks. How can I break this habit before it becomes an issue? Thanks! |

| It sounds like she has a doggie door. Having free access to the outdoors and the self rewarding experience will perpetuate the barking. I would limit her access to the outdoors in the morning. Work on getting her to bark on command will help to control the barking. This also a good article on barking.
