| My vertical labret is causing me a bit of trouble. Its probably about 10 weeks old (got it done late August) and its healed really easily. Just the last week its been starting to hurt on the top hole moreso. I've probably been playing with it too much and its just getting irritated. It doesn't seem infected, its not red or inflamed or hot, it just hurts if the ball sits right down on my lip, its getting a lot of tough little crusties. I've been doing sea salt soaks a few times a day for a few days and started putting the cleaning gel I got when I had it done on it again. it doesn't throb or hurt if I'm not touching it but it makes me wince if I bump it accidentally. My lips have been really dry the last few weeks with the change in weather so I've been using a lot of lip balm but I've been using mainly Paw Paw ointment because I figured it would aggravate it less. Any advice?

| I don't have any piercings other than my ears, so I can't tell you any advice from experience. But what I would suggest is calling the piercing place where you got it done and telling them what's going on with it and see if they can't advise you on what to do to remedy the situation. Goodluck! |

| Good idea, the place I got it done is about 3000kms away, but I'm going in on the weekend here to get my tongue done for the second time so I'll ask him about it then.
