| Hi! I'm new to this forum. I am opening a kennel and salon very soon. I am not a groomer myself, but will be advertising for an experienced groomer to contract with. I will supply the salon equipment (grooming table, tub, dryer, etc.), and I would like to get quality equipment. Does anyone have any recommendations on brands or features you like best in your equipment? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!! |

| If you really want to lure a good groomer and keep him/ her, buying quality equiptment is an excellent incentive! Consider a stainless steel tub with pull out steps. It's a real back saver. 95% of my large dogs will go up the steps. A powerful high velocity dryer is also a must. Hydrolic grooming table , or electric. I really love my hydrolic, never a problem in 5 years with it. A stand dryer will be needed also. I have a Prima bathing system but there are others not as pricy. Those are the basic big ticket items. I am not good with links and stuff but you can google all these things and get a lot of info that way. good luck with your plans! |
