![]() My cat started losing fur on her backside a few months ago. I took her to the vet and the Doc said it was probably due to fleas - maybe her being uncomfortable and licking the fur off. But my cat has flea dermititus and if she has fleas, I know because she becomes irritable and moans a lot. I think it's due to the kitten I got and she feels neglected. But they seem to be getting along now, so why hasn't the fur returned. Any ideas? Thanks! Jim |

| Have the vets run any types of test? Skin scrapings, or blood work? That is an awful lot of hair loss. |

| Has your vet seen how much hair she has lost? That seems like an awful lot of hair even for a cat that may be a little stressed due to a new addition. I'd bring her back to the vet and have him look at her again. |

| I think your cat should go to the vet again. That is a lot of fur. Have you seen the cat pull it out/bite at it or did it just fall out by itself? I would say it is a medical problem, not behavioral or psychological.
