I'm not sure I"m looking forward to the Plyometrics today. My arms hurt so much, so do my ribs. Mostly around the armpits and such, and I coughed this morning and it feels like broken ribs do...not much fun.

I felt so great once I got a shower and everything last night though, so I'm going to trudge through this today and hope that tomorrow I don't feel quite so bad. I was so worn out I fell asleep at 8 last night and was pretty much out except for about an hour until 7 this morning. I woke up feeling good even though I'm sore.

I can answer that one for you.. No..

I just did it.. or well most of it. 13 minutes left and the power went out.. Worked on keeping my heart rate up for the next 3 or 4 minutes.. Power doesn't come on.. So I mix up some protein powder and get in the shower as I have school in 2 hours.. and as I get out of the shower the power comes back on.. I'm annoyed.

It was a hard workout. I liked it but it sucked while doing it.. and I didn't even get to finish it..

Wow. I am so looking into this. Justin needs to lose some weight and get his BP under control and I wanna tone up a bit. Amazing results ALREADY Eddie.

That was my experience on days 2 and 3 as well. I started on a Saturday (doing the lean program which is a slightly different schedule). On Monday at work, I had difficulty getting out of my chair. I stuck with it, stretched and took hot showers. I even popped some ibuprofen a couple of times during the day. By Day 4/Day 5 I was recovering much quicker. Obviously with your arthritis, you may have different recovery issues, but the muscles themselves should hopefully get used to all of the new exercise and start to forgive you in a few days. Keep at it!

I did Ab Ripper this morning. The first time I did it I was incredibly sore for 3 days, and couldn't do a few of the moves. Today I improved greatly and did it all except I have a hard time with Fifer Scissors and Pulse Ups. I'm going to do the Arms/Shoulders video in a few minutes, because I won't have time later.

I wan't to start doing Pylo instead of CardioX. It doesn't feel like a cardio workout to me, I feel more 'worked out' after I go running.

I'm different on that, k9. I feel wiped out after the cardio. Different levels of fitness, I suppose. I made the same complaint (above actually) about the Kempo. I don't feel like my heart rate was kept up enough during the workout. Sure, my muscles are sore from all of the "horse stance" stuff, but I feel that the kick boxing should be more cardio. Tony is on the dvd saying, "Oh, I'm at 160" when I'm only pushing 150. Not sure if it's because of his fitness level or if I'm not "bringing it" enough.

That's the problem with the arthritis Eddie, I don't get any break with painkillers as the medication I take cannot be taken with anything except Tylenol, which doesn't do me much good anymore since I use it daily for pain management. Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin are all on my "can't take" list according to the sheets that come with it (I take Feldene 20 mg). So right now I'm just hoping I get a little forgiveness and that since my medication is packed with anti-inflammatory meds that it will help.

That sucks that you have that condition to deal with. I hope you're able to get some relief!

Do you take the L-Glutamine supplement? That is supposed to speed muscle recovery.

I don't. I need to run that by my doc before I do supplements. It's another drawback, the same medication is hard on your stomach/intestines/liver - I'll ask when I go to my 6 month liver function test. It's actually really crappy medication to take because it's so hard on your body and it really limits things you can take with it. I've stuck with a multi-vitamin but may need to cut that out as it's causing some nasty stomach upsets. It does help though, so that's a plus.

Yes, definitely check with your doc on interactions before you take something
