| I'd say Chaz has changed my opinion of dog people more than it has my opinion of breeds. However since joining every once in a while I lust for a small dog. Papillons, of course, spring to mind. They're just so perfect!!!

| Actually Zoom, I think *I* was the first one who did something crazy like that. Her name is Enzo . Chaz has changed my mind about cresteds, paps and rotties a great deal. I never really though pit bulls were vicious man eaters, but Chaz has certainly made me appreciate their unique aspects a whole lot more. As well as what it takes to really own one. Labradors used to never be a dog I liked or wanted. Now I don't know if I'll ever be without one. JRTs were also a breed I didn't consider appropriate. Oh, and Cocker Spaniels. I used to think they were really ugly. Now I'm quite partial to them ![]() And I'd heard of Filas before, but never really any solid information on them.

| I worked in a grooming salon for a while as a receptionist, and it was there that I learned what different breeds were. I'm ashamed to say that, when I first started working there, I called a wirefox terrier a schnauzer . At the grooming place I met many, many different breeds; from poodles to labs to malteses, to rhodesian ridgebacks to rotties to shar peis to shiba inus and shih tzus! I even met a schipperke, cute little thing! And have you ever seen a rough coated (not sure if its actually called that) Shiba Inu? They look just like little foxes. And thanks to that work experience, I now know what an Old English Sheepdog looks like shaved completely down. They look kinda houndy. I think my favorite breed at the salon was miniature and toy poodles. When certain poodles would come in for a grooming I would take them out after their grooming was done and cuddle them until their owners came to pick them up. Poodles are cuddly and warm and soft! Chaz hasn't changed my mind about any certain breeds, but its helped me learn more about certain breeds and now I admire them so much more. And thanks to certain members I now know what a well-bred cocker spaniel looks like. Cockers are SO bybed around here. There are so many with fearful/evil temperaments, and they have so many health problems, especially as they age. I actually really disliked cockers for a while because they always STANK because of their ear problems, they had skin problems, weepy eyes, and they just seemed to be the world's most unhealthy breed. I knew an elderly cocker who the groomers HATED to groom because her body was covered in moles of different sizes. But yeah, now I know what cute things they are when they are well bred/well cared for. ETA: Oh yeah, and I learned what Filas were. Before chaz the only exposure I had to Filas was a hideous picture in a breed book I have. Now I know how beautiful and amazing the breed is. Well, Opie helped with that too.
