| (not sure I'm spelling tongue correctly ) BUT Hammie started panting after running around and I see a small black spot on his tongue. I can't swear it wasn't always there.......but you'd think I'd have noticed it prior if it was. It's not very big....maybe the size of a small mosquito bite. Dave says it looks like a birthmark and isn't alarmed.....what do you think?? Thanks! |

| Buster has a small black spot on his tongue, I think it's just like Dave said, a birthmark. My friend's purebred GSD has one.

| Now that you're aware of it, just keep an eye on it, checking periodically for changes in size, shape, etc. As long as it stays the same, I wouldn't worry and would just ask the vet about it at the next appointment. And yes, you did spell 'tongue' correctly |

| My dog gets black spots on the tounge. It is ussually just some dried up coffee or tea. |

| That can be scary I had a monkey that had tongue cancer take him/her to the vet and get an ultra sound! |
