Chaz Care Package for Missouri Pit Bulls

As you are likely aware, the biggest dog fighting bust in United States history took place last week, resulting in 407 pit bulls being delivered to the Humane Society of Missouri. HSMO has asked for donations of money and supplies to help with the care of these dogs while their fates are decided. In consultation with several other members, I have decided to put together a Chaz care package. Basically, mail your donated supplies to me (or have them mailed to me) and I'll put them all together in a couple of boxes and ship them to HSMO. I'm planning to ship on the 1st of August. PM me for my address.

HSMO needs the following things that I can reasonably forward: New and gently-used sheets, full-size towels, blankets, and sturdy toys (large Kong toys, large Nylabones).

Hopefully, we can get enough together to show how many people care and are willing to help. Thanks.

This will not only get needed supplies to these dogs and show them that people care, it will show the HSUS that PEOPLE ARE WATCHING.

Part of the idea of doing it this way, and having it all in a big box or two is to make it clear that it is a group of people doing this . . . that a group of people mobilized to make this gift.

That, and I hope opening the box will be like Christmas.

I intend to not only state that it is from Chazhound, but to include a letter explaining who we are, what we stand for, and why we think it is so important.

I think they mean just the sheet . . . and probably gently used mean you would give them to like to good will or something . .. no holes, etc.

I THINK all the dogs ended up in MO.
