| I have got a cocker and after giving her a bath she is clean for 5 days but soon after that she starts smelling. I brush her everyday however I don't apply dog cologne on her on regular basis as she is very allergic to it. what should I do? I usually give her a bath once in two weeks or sometimes 3 weeks depending on the weather. |

| Cockers shouldn't' smell doggy (well no dogs should but cockers especially) What are you feeding him? I had a foster cocker come in who smelled a bit doggy.. not horribly so, but noticeable. After we switched him to a much better diet the smell went away. If he is on a good food, or that doesn't fix it I would take him to the vet. He could have a skin condition or something that is making the odour.

| Are you sure it's not her ears smelling bad? I believe Cockers can be more prone to ear issues. I know if my dog's ear's don't get cleaned, she will stink. |
