 Is it ripped enough for stitches ?? There's always super glue . If it's a slice , not much could be done anyway except antibiotic salve .  |

| Super glue is a good solution, just make sure you use the GEL, not the liquid. Hold the pad in place and use just a thin bead around the edge, holding the wound together (making sure your fingers aren't glued to it!) You don't want any of the glue INSIDE the wound, just to hold the tissue together.

| Nope. Just don't get it in the wound. Super glue was originally developed for surgical applications!

| When Strider gets cuts and tears I put a good diaper rash ointment on it. One of the "natural" ones, like Burt's Bees, or California Baby ones. They are extremely soothing, have a variety of oils with antifungal/antibacterial properties, and are nice and greasy which helps seal dirt out of the wound and keeps the skin supple so that it doesn't crack open again as it heals. We've had better success with them over regular antibiotic ointments and for pain control.

| My husband just suggested using the liquid bandaid. I wonder how much that would bother him. I'm such a wimp when it comes to using that on myself! I cleaned it out really well yesterday and wrapped it up. However, the bandage came off. The small piece of skin that was dangling off his pad is now gone. I cleaned it again this morning. Thanks for the tip about the burt's bees. With money being so tight right now I can't afford to take him to the vet  Hopefully it will clear up soon. |

| My dogs have slipped their pads (top layer comes off and is flappy). I just left them alone and it resolved itself. Of course they looked like they were walking on hot coals for awhile.. poor guys.
