| Depends what the difficulty was. Dekka was spayed during her C section a week and a bit ago. Not just due to needing a C section but due the panic and stress see seemed to experience. If the bitch say, had c section but otherwise was fine.. I would breed again, say had a bit of retained placenta...I would breed again. There are many 'minor' issues that a bitch could have that would make me not want to breed her with out a rest, but that would not stop me from breeding her again.

| Why not? If there is not more increased risk to the mom and pups? I can understand if there is a risk of repeat. Many breeds do routine C sections.. do you say they should never bred?

| I just don't consider it ethical or in the best interest of the bitch, the puppies or the breed as a whole. And I do have a problem with breeds that can't reproduce/birth naturally, yes. Man has created some horrible things in our canine companions.

| So lets say there is x percentage of a minor complication for all births. Lets say there is still only x percentage risk.. how is it unethical? Should we just no breed dogs in the first place (as there is always a risk). As I said I can totally understand not breeding if there is an increased risk. But if it is no more risky than the first breeding I am at a loss to see how there is an ethical issue.
