You need a vet. Could be ear infection, dental disease, anal glands, hot spots. I wouldn't be bathing even my show dog in coat 5x a week and I have to blow dry him dry. If your dog isn't fully rying you could be causing hot spots from moisture.

Agree with having a vet check them over for a possible ear infection or over-full anal glands.

It's also possible that by bathing your dog 5 times a week, you're forcing his skin and coat to overproduce the natural oils, which can lend a "doggie smell". I think I would lay off the baths and start using something like Dry Dog Waterless Shampoo or FurBreeze Spray in between baths.

Unless they get very dirty or go roll in something stinky, you shouldn't be bathing your dog more than once a month, maybe every two weeks anyway.

What kind of dog is it?

Go to the vet. No one here knows what is wrong with your dog. Someone with medical knowledge will need to look at it in person.

No one can tell you which products will remove the odor. If he has an ear infection, he needs antibiotics, if he has dental problems he needs a vet to perform a cleaning, if he has a tooth abscess he needs antibiotics and most likely extraction, if it's the anal glands, the vet can empty them and he might need antibiotics or surgery, if it's a skin infection, he needs antibiotics.

Stop bathing him and take him to a vet!!

And no, Pedigree isn't helping your dog at all. In fact, I'm willing to bet that part of the "smell" you're complaining about is caused by that food, whether it's just an icky skin smell, bad teeth or ear infections because of the horridly poor quality ingredients.

Check out The Dog Food Project - How does your Dog Food Brand compare? for more information on how to pick a good food.
