What's good about them and what's bad about them (Writer's block all I could come up with
)?

Maybe it's just that the people who tend to own them around here should NOT have a terrier in any form, but I've met ONE nice/sane Wheaten. And they're actually surprisingly popular around here.

Ditto, one of my former teachers has a wheaten and it was the most calm dog I had ever met.
And he told me tales of how they can be quite the character. |

That's... one way to put it! LOL I think a lot of people don't realize they are TERRIERS, and everything that goes along with that.
The one I've met who was probably in the right kind of home was actually quite a nice dog. The others were crazy

I know a few in AAC agility. Don't know the couple that owns them that that well. Haven't ever seen them cause trouble or do anything exceptional that makes me remember them beyond attending and competing.

I love them they play very nicely at the dog park. with koda and kio. I think there so popular because there labeled as a hypoallergenic breed even though every dog has some dander.

Um, I have yet to have a good opinion of a Wheaten that was over 9 months old. And before 9 months, they're cute, adorable and on crack. I've been around a decent amount of them, they're fairly popular and I'd say probably 99% were aggressive in some form, with about a 50/50 split between dog aggression and human aggression. They are some of the jerkiest dogs I've had to handle. Aside of the low-shedding factor and cute puppy angle, I can't think of a single reason why I would recommend this breed to someone.

Really? I've never had a bad experience with a wheaten. My favorite was just one of the coolest dogs I've met. He's very friendly, energetic, and playful. He was just a blast to be around. He loved the water too. I don't see them very much nowadays.

I LOVE MY BOYFRIEND'S WHEATEN!
She is so wonderful. She's only a year old, is very polite and an all around clown. Walk her, let her off leash for a bit of a run and she's a happy camper. She has a personality of gold, loves people and is an all around social butterfly. She's easy going. Did I mention cute? That's my only experience with a Wheaten Terrier though. Clover is awesome. |
