I found Kayla's thread about cracked pads.. There was advice to soak them..
I'm borrowing Kaiden for a week.. and I never thought about the fact that he doesn't play on pavement normally. He skinned both 'wrist' pads on his front legs playing ball in the tennis court. Had a blast never acted hurt.. He was licking them and I realized what had happened.. I feel really bad.. I found cream for cracked and irritated pads (that I won ages ago) and vet wrapped on top of them.. He was above average unhappy.. usually he is really easy going.. so it has to hurt a lot for him to vocalize his displeasure. He seems more content with them covered, and isn't bothering them. Short of soaking them and keeping them protected is there more I can do for him? He really hated the wrapping so I don't want to have to remove and rewrap constantly. It stressed him some. Have him for less than a day and I broke him
