What color is this?

Merle in Aussies doesn't affect white markings like that though...he looks to have the typical Irish spotting/markings but heavily speckeled like an ACD. Actually, I think his head looks more ACD than Aussie anyway, so maybe that would account for it?

He's a blue sable. Nose pigment is pretty dark, but he definitely looks blue to me.

His eyes are really light too.

Anyway, he doesn't look a whole lot like a rough collie, I wonder if they meant border collie.

Here's a pic of him next to a blue sable gsd puppy, strong resemblance. The lilacs have much lighter noses, being blue dilutes of livers.

On my screen his nose looks black, or it did. Now I'm not sure. Gah, what a confuzzling dog.

If the nose is blue rather than black I agree it would be a blue sable or blue fawn.

I wish! He sounds like such a neat dog. I keep reminding myself that when I get back, I'm sure there will be an awesome mediumish herding breed mix or herding breed dog I can adopt. It's hard though!
