So in two weeks, I've been through all four seasons already. Including winter. Which turned to back into late spring by mid-afternoon. And I thought Kansas was weather-schizo. (Taken 4/26)

I wonder what they were trying to say here... ![]() View down the second of the two main roads. The town was built in the mid-1800's and is still very proud of it's Victorian heritage. The Dostel next to it is now a microbrew/casino and has a pretty darn good dry Stout. ![]() The outskirts of town, where you can still see evidence of some of the original mining operations: ![]() *MORE*

These are all from yesterday at Lair o' the Bear. I'm going to have to go back with someone else driving next time, the drive out there is just breathtaking. They do have spots to stop and take photos, but after seeing a number of near-misses coming out of the stops because people were taking corners too fast, I opted to just keep going.

Are you sure thats sedimentary (or a metasediment?) It looks rather metamorphic at this scale, so it might not be deposited, but tortured into those bands.
