Thumbs up Training Success!

Reading recent posts on teaching dogs how to down at a distance made me want to try it with Zeus. He knows how to lay down, but I've never made him do it from far away. I just put him in a sit-stay and walked about 20 feet away. I knew it was pretty far, but I figured I'd was just trying see what his reaction would be.

I told him "down," he looked at me and....HE DID IT PERFECTLY! WITHOUT LEAVING THE STAY!!

WOOHOO! I've NEVER had one of my dogs do that!!

I just had to tell someone! Man, I hope I'm this excited over my children when I finally have some...

Well done both of you. Isn't it great when you both achieve something new.

Jake's a darn smart dog and it took him several tries before he grasped the concept.

Great Job!!!
