How do I keep up with my dog when I'm really tired?

I pretend that taking a nap on my bed is great fun....works everytime...he takes a nap too...

Haha, that's what the cats are for. They love to get my dog fired up and chase him 'round and 'round the house. Of course, it makes it difficult to nap with stampeding cats trampling over your head.

I know how you feel. You gotta force yourself sometimes... but sometimes I get real lazy and put him in the hall with a toy and I just fall asleep.

I'm so cruel...

I'm up at 4am monday til friday to go to work.( I chose an early shift so I'd be home early for the dogs. But as soon as I come in I change my clothes put the dogs in the car and take them for a walk for an hour or two. Watching them play gives me such pleasure that I nearly forget about being tired.

I do mean things like put a treat in an empty water bottle and let them figure out how to get the darn thing out. Keeps them busy for a while.

*for a lager dog I'd probably use a 2 litter soda bottle.*

that's a good idea, I think I just need to take a couple sleeping pills so I can actually fall asleep during my bed time

At night it's fine. During the day, I just can't sleep, so I have to make do...
