Which trait is a big no no for you.
To me, a breed who is extremely protective of their owner is a big turn off to me. I prefer my dogs to be loving to strangers.

Dog aggression is the biggest turn off for me. I can take some same sex aggression but it's a no to the breeds that are really really prone to DA. I would prefer to avoid crating and rotating.

Reserved dogs, I like the "hey you, you, nice to meet you, be my friend okay, I love you don't you love me, don't you like kisses, rub my belly please okay, want to come live with us?" they not only like everyone but want to be touched and payed attention to by everyone. That's what I like.

Aggression of any kind.
I could never do the crate and rotate thing and I dont want to be limited to one dog. And I dont want to have to lock my dog up everytime someone comes over, or make a huge process out of desensitizing them to each person they meet. Basically I like to take my dogs lots of places... I want to be able to continue to do that safely... so aggression would really be a big turn off for me. |

Neurotic-ness. I'd like to avoid major DA as I like hiking off-leash with a group.

I dont like dog agression or dogs that are really reserved with strangers, I dont mind socilizing alot as pups but in the end I want the dog to come out being friendly with everyone.
I also dont like super barky dogs, watch dog and play barking in fine but constant barking is a real turn off. I also stay away from breeds that are reallyyy independent like the ones that dont really need human affection and want more time alone then with you. I also wouldnt own a breed that tends to be known for selective hearing. There are probably more traits that are big turn offs but I cant remember them at the moment. |

I'm the opposite of most of you! I prefer dogs who are more reserved and family oriented but not to the point of aggression. Izzy loves everyone and never barks at the door and begs for everyone's attention without being needy.
