What is she??

I have the cutest puppy ever...she's 6 months and supposedly a shitzu maltese mix...but her hair is short!! She has NEVER had a haircut! I bought her from a vet when she was only a month and a half old and he swears up and down that she's a shitzu maltese mix but don't they all have long hair??

He also said she still has her "puppy coat" but I thought by this time she would've grown out of it. hmmm....

If she's a different breed I would love her all the same and I don't care if her hair stays short but I'm sooo curious to know what breed she might be if she's NOT what the vet says.

Any ideas??

I've seen some maltese/poodle (maltipoo) that look a lot tike her. My friend has a white one that has a similar coat length. Or she may be a maltese/chihuahua, but the maltichi's I've seen has had ears more like a chi or one up one down. I would agree that shitzu/maltese would have longer hair. What does her tail look like, is it longhair? She's adorable whatever she is!!

I'm not sure what breeds she could have in her, though... I'm not too good with the small/fluffy breeds.

I don't see Shih Tzu/maltese. Not only is her hair too short (my Shih Tzu's hair was quite long by six months old), but she just doesn't look that those breeds to me. She may be one or the other mixed with something else, but I don't know what. She's adorable, though

In the first photo, her wide, flat skull and big round eyes look Pekingese. The muzzle doesn't look Peke though. Whatever she is she is adorable.

Adorable! I have no idea on the breed, but she does look like a peke somewhat.

I just had to comment because she's ridiculously cute.

Are her ears starting to go up or is it because she is on her back?? I can see shih tzu in there. Not sure what else though. I dont see maltese.

I was thinking that too in the first pic... but then with the muzzle I thought people would think I was crazy!
