We rarely do "walks". Once a week or so, we'll take a short jaunt around the neighborhood for some site-seeing, but there's no hope that on-leash walks would ever actually tire Meg.
5 - 7 hours a day, she's off-leash with me on the farm. Lots of walking back and forth to the fields, running up to the hayloft to find the cats, hunting rodents in the grass, playing with the barn's border collie, etc. Add in a good session of training in the evening or a game of fetch on the green, and she's very quiet and content. Driving home the other day, watching everyone out walking their dogs in the cold rain, I was very happy to have a dog who is just as content to head straight into the house and curl up to watch TV!

Having had 8 wooded acres in the country in the past I feel sorry that mine the last 10 years haven;t had this wonderful freedom . We do what we can and love them to death !! They never complain as long as we're there for them ! I was talking to Ollie about this a few nights ago as he got his nightime massage in bed with me ... he gave me a sweet kiss .... he understands .

SO does GG's Mr. SHaffer. He is soft as pudding, but it is what it is, he is an old woman's dog.

Two walks that range from 20 minutes to an hour.

It definately does suck living in the city. Our yard if you can call it that is not even 1/2 acre and cannot be fenced because of our shared driveway. It also sucks that the nearest dog park is 45 minutes away. Walks are usually all I can offer. But I try to walk him to a different part of the city everyday so he doesent get bored. And at stop signs or corners we usually run through basic obedience just to get his brain pumping.
Without atleast one 45 minute walk Sawyer is completely spastic. Its a spastic I can live with but still lol its nice to have a some what tired out dog. Maggie May usually joins us for one walk a few times a week. She can go and go like Sawyer but she also could sleep all day if I let her. She was a major fan of the dog park and hiking trails when we lived in southern Ohio for that summer.

Not often. My dogs don't get much out of a walk, so I take them a few times a week. They get their exercise running around off leash at a little park near our house once a day or so.
