help please
I need some contact info to an english bulldog rescue. My dad owns some apartments and there is this old guy there with one who needs help. He cant afford to take care of her anymore and she needs to see a vet in a bad way. From looking at her i say she has a massive skin infection and maybe mange? The guy is absoultly heart broken over her condition , but cant do anything abou tit. So I told him I would find someone good to take her.
So please does anyone have any info I can use? Or does anyone want to take her on? she is a sweet girl and it breaks my heart I cant do nothing for her either. i am strapped with the kids and life in general , I cant not take her on. so someone please , if you know anyone who can help , let me know or send them my way. I will try and get pictures of her tonight , but may be unable to get over there.

Oh, such a sad situation all around. Does the vet do payment plans? Maybe he can get her in at least to see the vet?

he does still love her but can not really take care of her ( i.e baths and what not is what he said ). i will try the club and see what i can get done.
every vet i talked to will not work anything out unless he has at least a hundred dollars to put down , he doesn't and i dont either. my dad wont help as he told me to take her to the shelter , i cant do that . hmm i have got to find her help.

just an update here , if anyone cares.
I payed my brother in law to take this dog to my aunt in shreveport. she has a heart of gold her. my aunt took her to the vet and she has demodex mange and a massive infection in her feet. her vbet told her it would take 3 months to get the mites under control and her on the way to recovery. so this story is on the way to a happy ending. and for the record , the english bulldog rescue totally ignored me , i emailed every single one of them (repaaetedly) and got no response. i will never tell anyone to try them for help. thanks all !

So glad this is having a happy ending.
About rescue, when we found the chocolate lab we decided to keep, Lab Rescue here wouldn't even return my phone call. A lady who does rescue of all animals said she won't call me back because the Lab lady doesn't have room. It still would have been nice to call me back and tell me this and maybe give me other numbers to call.

Glad he found a home. Had I seen this earlier, I would've suggested my vet in Baton Rouge. He works with several of the area rescues and is heavily involved in rescue work, as is all of his staff, and he also works out payment plans if it's a rescue dog and you cannot afford to pay the bill.
Very happy the dog was placed in a home and is finally being taken care of.
