When I brush my Shih-Tzu I find his fur tends to stick up a bit due to static and the fact the air is dry. What do you do about that fur sticking up look?

Maybe spray with a detangler or wet the hair first. There are a lot of groomers on here who will give you advice.

Just spray some water, or a little bit of static gaurd.
edit: Its better to brush your dog wet anyways, does your dog have a full coat? then a very diluted conditioner/water mix will work wonders. |

Yes, there are certain brushes I use that do the same thing to Auggie... fill up a spray bottle of water and mist the hair before you brush. Don't drench it, but you do want to get it a little wet! That'll defeat the static. => I only mist one area at a time, because he dries pretty quickly - if I wet the whole dog down first his butt would be dry before I even got there.
