Soup bone?

I found a really cheap beef bone with marrow - it's basically a knuckle bone that's been sliced up thin. Can I still give this to Auggie? Should I take it away once he's eaten the beef off and the marrow out of the bone, or can he chomp on the bone? I didn't poke at the bone to see if it was soft but I'm pretty sure it is...
Could I at the very least push the marrow out and feed him that?


It's in the freezer right now and I think I need to get some digestive enzymes because he got runny poo after I gave him his first knuckle bone, so it may sit there for several days.

I think it depends on the size of both the dog and the bone . I've still got many hanging around and as long as they don't start splintering they're safe to me. Some cut soup bones have sharp shards . Be careful that they don't come loose .

I've given soup bones like you describe, but I watch Sierra with them as she tries to break off big pieces once the marrow is out and swallow them. If she's chewing politely (as I put it) then she can consume these bones entirely without issue.
