Great pictures!! Really weird that the judge went over the Dobermans like that, though. I'm definitely not impressed with the dog he chose for breed at all.

Yep, the Sibe is really...a Sibe, LOL. His fur is very, very deep and floofy, and the markings on his face make his face look wider. He's very much in shape as well...he does obedience and agility. His name is Marco, and he's Ruby's back-up boyfriend when Thor isn't around.

I'm not sure if cropping is part of the Boxer or Dane standard, but all of the dogs/bitches were cropped. That's the only way we see them.

The Dobes were...interesting. The judge seemed impatient, and the dogs weren't the greatest.

Sure this guy is a sibe though? He looks more like a malamute to me, being quite heavy and his head is very big. Gorgeous though!

Yep, it's a Sibe - she trains with us at the club.


And yes - Boxers, Great Danes, Briards, Schnauzers of all sizes... all mention cropping in the standard.

Also, That dobe...wow, i guess when they give you crap to judge you have to pick the best of the worst...i dunno, but doesn't sound like the judge was all that impressed either!

Oh Vintage, I wish I knew too! Looks like their numbers are 4 and 8... I can check for you in a few weeks, once the results are up on Onofrio - just be sure to remind me!

I was VERY impressed by #4, she was exquisite. SOLID mover too, probably one of the best moving Boxers I've seen around here in a long time.

Most Danes are cropped. Some have been showing up uncropped alot more. The standard is eaither, i think cropped is perfered tho. The uncropped ones have a harder time finishing i think. They dont need to be crepped to show.
