Well if I slow down then she will do a 2 on 2 off, so I know she still has it (our base training was with Carolyn Barney, so we have A LOT of contact and floor work under our belts). I really had no clue that there was such thing as a running contact, I just thought I was being lazy

I'll have to do some more research into it. Frankly I would prefer a running contact as A) I am too impatient for the 2 on 2 off and B) Teeny gets easily distracted so keeping her focused and moving makes agility much easier.

Guilty! Actually, Meg was just so slow early on, I figured I'd never have to train contacts. We literally spent probably 20 minutes a day (spread out throughout the day), 5 or six days a week for almost all of the last winter re-training her 2on/2off. No trials or anything. They've become fantastic, but it was a serious pain. My next dog will be trained stopped contacts (I'm a control freak; running would never work for me) from the beginning.

We do have a small dog in our class (Cavalier) who has trained running. He is FAST for a little guy, and the contacts have held up very well in competition. I think they basically modified the techniques shown on the LoLaBu site.

Anyway, the pictures are fantastic! Teeny is very adorable.

THANK YOU! I love the Teeny

Oh . . . and now I know where Teeny gets her voice I think it's adorable.

Listen, lady, that's not my real voice. That's just my dog voice

Daycare 8 hours a day, 5 days a week

Granted half of that time is spent with her either pacing or pogo-ing in front of the door because she would rather be out in the office with me instead of in the playrooms!
