Aside from it being utterly disgusting..
I went to Petsmart and bought him the nasty habit chewable pills to get him to stop eating his poo.. I poop scouped the yard.. I can't figure out why he's doing this.. The Vet said cause in the winter they are hard and he may think there a toy ![]() His diet is Innova puppy food which I will be switching him to adult as soon as the puppy is all gone. He'll be a year old March 20th. My other yorkie doesn't do any of this.. but I give her the nasty habit chewable too cause maybe he's going after her poo... I don't know what to do!! He's still eating it with taking the pill to stop it.. ugh..

Keep up the dosage and see if anything changes in the near future. If nothing changes, you could always go to the vet.

My sheltie does it. So did my other sheltie years ago. Some dogs seem more prone to it than others. My minpins NEVER do it EVER. I'm not pleased but such is life with dogs at times.
We try to go out with him when he has to go and pick it up right away but we tried many things in the past and nothing worked so we just gave up, picking it up often and quickly but not stressing over it. Of course, he never brought it in the house - yuck!!! |

The powder or chew will help--pretty much you need to keep an eye on them while they are outside. Honey likes to 'have a snack' outside sometimes--and it's always Wrigley's not her own (which I'm not sure is grosser or better?)--anyways the only thing that is foolproof is me watching and when she sniffs for a second too long I give her a loud "eh-eh" from the door and she stops what she is doing and moves on.
