I didn't know you had to have a license to be a breeder? I thought that was only if had over so many breeding animals.

Louisville passed a very restrictive law after vehement protest a little over a year ago. I would not step foot in that area for ANYTHING.

The Laws have to be stated and then regulated . I always paid more dog taxes for my unaltered dogs before I moved . I have no clue what the rules are here ! And yes ...I do think that those breeding should pay ! Sure would cut down on BYB and PMs .

Different places have different regulations regarding licensing requirements. I know it varies from one state to another, I don't know how much of it is also on a city or county level.

A friend of mine who breeds GSDs has state licensing to do so, but he's not required to have that. He's under the amount of puppies produced to require a license.

Lately there have been more restrictive licensing requirements being passed and that is a part of the animal rights agenda.

Owners who want to breed, buy or sell puppies and kittens and aren't involved with a pet shop or other retail animal dealers must have a Class A Kennel (or Breeding) License. There are also Class B and C Kennel Licenses for show animals and professionally trained guard dogs.
So, what do you have to have if you're a mill and sell to a pet store? Anything?

Probably nothing, Renee. They would be covered under federal laws? But I'm really not sure.
