I am so sorry for your loss. It has been an especially rough year I think.

Saying "I'm sorry" just seems so inadequate, but I don't know what else to say. It never makes sense to me why pets that are so loved and cherished have to die too soon, while the ones that are treated horribly suffer so for years at the hands of people who don't care. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm so sorry.

It has been a really terrible end of the year. Hopefully the new year will bring us something to look forward to.

That's what gets me. I know a lot of people don't agree with letting cats go in and out whenever they please, but our cats were inside at night, they were collared and tagged and they stayed in our yard. Its just an injustice. I mean, all I can do is whine and scream that its not fair.

My twin friend's mother did the same thing to her siamese when i was around 8. I remember just exactly how horrified and grief stricken she was and how the whole family crumpled. It was the first time i had seen an adult sob.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

RIP POE

Fairly recently, my hair dresser ran over one of her dogs and killed him. She was driving slowly up her gravel driveway and there were 2 or 3 other dogs bouncing around. She was going slowly and watching them all carefully when all of a sudden, this one dog came from the side and ran right in front of the car. She didn't see him coming at all. She felt horribly guilty and so sad. He was a very old dog and they were thinking about euthanizing him soon because of usual old dog ailments; arthritis etc. But shoot! what an awful way to go unless it's instant. I just can't imagine how horrible your Mom must feel. But she must try and realize that accidents happen. I hope she doesn't blame herself for too long. Such a sad time. Again...I'm so very sorry.
